Nanny
Denver, CO

Looking for a second full time nanny in the Belcaro neighborhood of Denver. The family consists of two boys (4 and almost 2 years old), two parents, a French Bulldog, and a nanny manager. The prospective nanny must be extremely flexible, task oriented, and loving with the children. Ideally she would be able to teach the children Spanish. The family travels both in and out of the country frequently and is out of town about 4 months of the year, going on both shorter trips and trips that can last 6-8 weeks at a time. The new nanny would travel with the family and the nanny manager. All expenses, such as accommodation, flights, meals, etc while on trips, would of course be paid by the family.

The new nanny will be under the direction of and must work in coordination with the nanny manager (who has been with the family for 4 years) as well as the parents, who often work from home. So any candidates must be comfortable working with other adults present.

The position calls for about a 45 hours per work week. Since the family travels so much, the work schedule is quite variable, so possible candidates must be flexible. When in Denver, childcare is split by the two nannies from around 7:30 am - 9:00 pm Mondays-Fridays (with the flexibility stay later than 9pm when needed). The current nanny manager will typically work Mon-Fri 7:30 am until the afternoon, and later on days the new nanny has off. The prospective candidate would start her shift on weekdays in the afternoon and stay until around 9pm (sometimes earlier and sometimes later). She would work on Saturdays and Sundays and have two weekdays off per week. There is flexibility if she needs a weekend day off as part of her schedule.

While traveling, the work shifts for the two nannies are typically from around 8am-3pm and 3pm-10pm, five days per week. The nanny manager will usually work the earlier shift, but these could be occasionally switched. Each nanny gets one day off per week to be determined between them, at which time the other nanny works the full day. Again nothing is set in stone, so flexibility is key.

Nanny duties would include playing with and keeping the children safe, feeding them meals, bathing them, putting them down for naps and bedtime, keeping the house tidy and organized (there are housekeepers for weekly cleaning), doing laundry, and being proactive in helping with whatever needs to be done around the house. The nanny manager is responsible for taking the children to and from school, grocery shopping, and most meal preparation (so the new nanny is not expected to cook beyond preparation of simple things for the children).

Spanish or Russian speaking a plus!
