Technical Project Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of AFC’s strategies, business processes and supporting software 
  • Investigate new technologies and assist in defining scope and objectives for new processes and projects 
  • Interact in person and remotely with key implementation project stakeholders, technology staff, and subject matter experts. 
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques 
  • Work with the business and our Product Owners to understand existing business needs and build requirements for the development team 
  • Help drive weekly prioritization and planning for the various teams to ensure that the right features are being built at the right time for the right reasons. 
  • Wear many hats to get the job done in an agile, fast paced and constantly changing environment 
  • Ability to perform product demonstrations for various stakeholders 
  • Ability to easily translate technology terms for business users and vice versa 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or computer science 
  • 2+ years professional experience in project or product management in the mortgage industry 
  • Experience analyzing and developing software solutions for complex, cross departmental mortgage processes 
  • Highly skilled written and verbal communicator 
  • Agile experience in Scrum and Kanban 
  • Collaborative, proactive, self-motivated individual with an inherent curiosity to learn 
  • Experience with process improvement projects 
  • A desire to work in an environment where priorities change as we learn 
  • Experience with Jira a plus
