As AFC’s Director of Total Rewards, you will design, implement and administer a holistic framework of financial and non-financial rewards, along with evaluating and enhancing existing programs to reflect the organization’s strategy to attract, motivate, and retain great talent including analyzing and modeling annual merit and other salary adjustments, analyzing market data to assess the organization's competitive position, managing job evaluation systems; incentive programs, insurance, benefit, and retirement programs. You will bring in-depth knowledge and understanding of external best-practices and innovative trends to apply to the company's Total Rewards programs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conceptualize and drive implementation and adherence to a total rewards philosophy and guiding principles aligned to business strategies, and integrated with the organization's culture through initiatives that effectively attract, engage and retain great talent.
Optimize the value of total rewards programs and service, ensuring AFC is an employer of choice by consistently applying deep subject matter expertise and best practices.
Develop a comprehensive training and communications strategy to support our philosophy and ensure employees and leaders understand and value the total rewards offered by the Company
Design and implement compensation structures in the organization including salary bands and job grades; ensure the compensation review processes, such as merit, promotion, etc. are administered accurately and efficiently.
Ensure appropriate compliance and governance with respect to position titles, levels and compensation structures, pay equity and applicable legal/regulatory requirements
Design and deliver all programs and workflows around compensation and benefits (e.g., hiring, promotions, transfers, budgeting, design, benchmarking, effectiveness assessments)
Direct the market benchmarking process and recommend changes in the pay structure as needed; oversee all activities related to the analysis of market trends and market competitive pay positions to ensure pay structure meets overall company goals and objectives.
Regularly analyze benefit offerings, evaluating the usage, plan design, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends, and make appropriate short and long-term recommendations.
Direct the administration of all benefit plans in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; guide the team on routine audits to ensure benefits are administered consistently and qualified under applicable tax codes if applicable.
Work with the company's external benefits consultant to analyze and evaluate plan renewals for cost-effectiveness, negotiate for improved services and offerings to maintain the company's Total Rewards competitive position.
Manage health and welfare plans, administration and reporting, ACA, COBRA and FMLA administration including the integration with disability programs; lead the annual Benefits Renewal and Open Enrollment process
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years of compensation & benefits experience; 3+ years of experience in leading compensation and benefits teams; CCP or CEBS designation is strongly preferred
Benefits administration experience including knowledge of health and welfare plans, Leaves, time off practices, and retirement plan
Experience in partnering and influencing senior stakeholders
Impeccable communication skills; able to explain complex ideas in a simple, clear manner, deftly answer challenging compensation and benefits questions, and connect with a variety of audiences from senior leadership to employees
Strong analytical and conceptual skills while also being creative and strategic
