We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic person to become the newest member of our growing Technology team at American Financing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing software solutions that help in the automation of company workflow and tasks. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing systems while also playing a big part in developing and architecting new technology for our growing business. We are looking for ideas as well as execution; this team member will participate in all aspects of our development cycle.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years .Net (C#)
  • Ability to participate in and implement feedback from code reviews
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Understanding and experience with designing applications using SOLID design principles and contemporary software design patterns
  • SQL Server and ORM knowledge
  • Database design and management (minimally experience using DML and DDL) experience
  • Strong ability to analyze and design software solutions
  • Experience with JIRA and agile methodologies a plus
  • Good working knowledge of security best practices
  • Experience with Signal-R, WPF, WCF and WWF a plus
  • Participate in the proactive identification of product/systems enhancements which may improve tool appeal, process flow, and overall functionality and performance
  • Mortgage industry knowledge a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Effective time management and ability to float between multiple projects
  • Great team attitude and able to work comfortably with technical staff as well as business and non-technical individuals
