Loan Servicing Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Loan Servicing Manager will need to have master servicing experience working directly with a sub-servicer.  The LSM will oversee all mortgage servicing operations which includes: loan setup and transfer, escrow management, payment processing, sub-servicer management, as well as borrower customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage day-to-day functioning of the loan servicing department and improve processes when necessary
  • Use department KPI data to better control operating costs and implement updated procedures/policies in order to reach quality targets and service expectations
  • Apply extensive knowledge of operations management to improve profitability
  • Work with sub-servicer to ensure compliance with servicing agreements
  • Transfer loan data and verify reports for completeness and accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve delinquent loans
  • Form and manage a network of external vendors while building relationships and driving department performance
  • Monitor servicer cash flow, reporting, and credit risk mitigation
  • Provide escrow servicing, escrow analysis, and escrow disclosure statements
  • Assist with account reconciliation and GL coding as needed
  • Prepare and post borrower payment deposits
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements 
  • Monitor work volumes and forecast for future needs
  • Handle servicing related audits and develop state/federal filing requirements deemed necessary by compliance
  • Stay up-to-date with compliance regulations, including claims procedures, loss mitigation, and CFPB foreclosure, among others
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience
  • Sound understanding of loan servicing requirements for investors
  • Familiarity with loan servicing software used for audit/reporting purposes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of customer service skills and professional integrity
  • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate constant leadership  
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once in a rapidly changing environment
  • Keen attention to detail and passionate about helping others achieve their goals
