Executive Vice President, Operations

We’re looking for a talented executive to join our growing team and serve as the Executive Vice President of Operations.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The EVP of Operations will relentlessly advocate for our customers as we enhance our products and home lending experience. This position is about creating and delivering exceptional production capabilities, as we transform our mortgage business. You should be a visionary who strives to be one step ahead of what’s next in our industry. Yet also a strategist as you’ll fearlessly lead our operations team to accelerate, optimize, and improve our processing, underwriting, and closing functions.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set goals and lead initiatives that improve production time, cost, loan quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Track and assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, efficiency, loan quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Lead the execution of cross-business strategies designed to enhance customer service and client relationships across segments, products, and markets
  • Develop and execute long-range strategic plans and objectives to impact business results
  • Anticipate/develop future operating workflow needs to meet lending timelines and closing deadlines 
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Drive the production teams to maximize output of each department while maintaining impeccable quality
  • Identify & drive improvement in operational processes to streamline workflow anywhere possible via technology, organizational tweaks or process changes
  • Drive weekly, monthly & annual goals with a view towards continuous optimization, "tweaks" and improvements to our processes
  • Manage compensation plans & adjust as needed based on company goals to drive best results
  • Drive a reduction in unsellable loan & preventing quality issues from reoccurring
  • Resolve escalated loan issues that require business decisions on real-time production needs
  • Coach, mentor and train the team to further develop their pipeline and personnel management
  • Passionately drive process excellence, visibility, and awareness throughout the company

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years of mortgage leadership experience in operations
  • Strong working knowledge of investor guidelines, underwriting policies, and loan products
  • Proven ability to understand, instruct and calculate various types of financial documents
  • Underwriting experience
  • Processing, closing & post-closing experience
  • High technical proficiency and speed in learning a new production platform
  • 10+ years of experience managing a high capacity production environment
  • Track record of success building and leading strong results-oriented mortgage operations teams
  • Strong commitment to internal and external customer service and satisfaction
  • Ability to recruit, lead, and train others
  • Detail-oriented outlook, combined with ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines on time
