About Mike Rosen

Mike Rosen is an American radio personality and political commenter. Mike is the host of The Mike Rosen Show; Denver’s most listened to radio talk show on 850 KOA from 9:00a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday, now in its 23 rd year.

Mike is also an editorial page columnist for the Denver Post. His articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines across the country, including the Wall Street Journal and National Review. He is featured regularly as a political analyst on Denver television stations and has appeared on “Good Morning America,” “The Larry King Show,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Hannity and Colmes,” “Lou Dobbs,” “CNN Tonight,” and National Public Radio.

Politics, lifestyles, entertainment, sports: you'll hear it all on the Mike Rosen Show. He is active in Republican politics, has been a delegate to the Colorado State Assembly and has held staff positions in national and local campaigns supporting candidates for public office. Mike brings a remarkably diverse background to the airwaves.

Mike was Vice President of the Shavano Institute for National Leadership, the Colorado-based, public policy center of Hillsdale College in Michigan, where he directed a variety of public outreach programs and was executive producer of Shavano’s nationally broadcast PBS television program, “Counterpoint.”

He was a finance and strategic planning executive for Samsonite Corporation and Beatrice Foods for eight years in Denver, and before that at General Cable Corporation in New York City. Mike is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany from 1965-1967.

In Washington, Mike served as Special Assistant for Financial Management to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, at the Pentagon. Upon completion of his assignment, Mike was awarded the Department of the Navy Superior Civilian Service Medal for exceptional meritorious service.

A graduate of the University of Denver, Mike holds BSBA and MBA degrees. He was the first recipient of the Theodore S. Cutler Faculty Award for outstanding scholastic achievement.

Mike is a frequent speaker and debater before business, government, civic and student audiences around the country on economic, defense, foreign policy and political issues. He has been a United Way loaned executive and Divisional Vice Chairman as well as a volunteer consultant to minority businesses through the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Mike was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He's traveled extensively in Europe, the Far East, Latin America, southern Africa and the former Soviet Union. Mike currently lives in Denver, Colorado with his two daughters, Lynn and Jill; he has lived in the Denver area for the past forty years.
